A SUMMER TWIST FOR YOUR WRIST
IWC IS LAUNCHING A SUMMER EDITION OF THE PORTUGIESER YACHT CLUB CHRONOGRAPH ALONG WITH A COLLECTION OF SEASONAL STRAPS
Schaffhausen, 15 June 2018 – IWC Schaffhausen is bringing a touch of summer to your wrist. The Swiss watch manufacture is launching a new edition of the Portugieser Yacht Club Chronograph as part of its "Summer Editions" collection. With a water-resistant stainless steel case, a blue dial and a resilient blue rubber strap, this sporty chronograph is the perfect watch for the warmer months of the year. IWC is also launching a special collection of matching fabric straps, offered in fashionable blue and light grey and available in all IWC boutiques. These trendy straps are designed to accessorise selected watches from the Pilot's Watches, Portugieser and Portofino ranges and will only be available for a limited amount of time.
Summer has arrived, bringing the promise of pleasantly warm weather and the temptation to cool off with a refreshing dip in the water. Thanks to its water-resistant stainless steel case with integrated crown guard and its resilient blue rubber strap, the Portugieser Yacht Club Chronograph (Ref. IW390507) is the perfect companion for your next sailing trip – or any other summer adventure you might have in mind. The blue dial with white counters, rhodium-plated hands and the red secondhand of the chronograph produce an overall look that's deliberately casual. The 89361 manufacture calibre with flyback function indicates the measured hours and minutes together on a subdial at 12 o'clock, while the quarter-second scale that surrounds the dial allows for precise measurement of shorter time periods. The transparent case-back in sapphire crystal offersan unimpeded view of the mechanical inner workings of this sporty chronograph.
STYLISH STRAPS IN BLUE AND GREY FOR THE SUMMER
Even if you already own a different timepiece from the Schaffhausen Manufacture, you can still add a touch of summer to your wrist. The second highlight of the "Summer Editions" collection is a special collection of fabric straps that IWC Schaffhausen is launching for some of its most popular classic watches – all available in seasonal designs that use pale blue or light grey colours. The following versions are available:
• Pilot's Watch Mark XVIII and Pilot's Watch Chronograph: Four fabric straps (blue, light grey, blue with light grey trim, light grey with blue trim)
• Portofino Automatic and Portofino Chronograph: Two fabric straps (blue, light grey)
• Portugieser Chronograph: Two fabric straps (blue, lightgrey)
The straps are only available for a limited time period as accessories to the models listed above. They can be fitted to your watch, whether an old favourite or a brandnew purchase, at any IWC boutique.
